Installing Liberty Basic is a very simple task. Before you can install it, you must download it. Liberty Basic is available as a free download from several of the most popular shareware sites, such as TuCows and Jumbo.com as well as the Official Liberty Basic Website (the prefered download location).
Administrator Privileges:
We have found that for PC's running Windows XP or Windows 2000 you must be a local administrator to install Liberty Basic. If you are not a local administrator your installation will not be successfull.
Download and unpack:
Download the package, and unzip it on your local PC. Windows XP systems have a built in unzip feature that is able to unpack the archive. If you are using an earlier OS you will need WinZip or PKZip to unpack the archive. The location you choose to unzip the archive into is not critical.
Installing:
To install Liberty Basic locate the Setup.exe file in the folder created when you unpacked the archive using windows file explorer. Double-click this file to execute it. This launches a typical installation wizard. I recommend using the default options during the installation unless you are experineced with Windows and understand what is going on. Once you have completed the installation you should have an entry in your START menu under PROGRAMS for Liberty Basic.

If you experince problems installing the software be sure to visit the Liberty Basic Support Forum to seek assistance.
