There are basically two registered versions of Liberty BASIC:
Silver Edition
Gold Edition
The SILVER edition provides an affordable way to start using Liberty BASIC. If is the full product without the ability to create standalong applications that can be distributed.
The GOLD edition is required if you want to compile standalone programs that can be distributed to people who do not own Liberty BASIC.
